Search Folders
About Search Folders Search Folders are virtual folders that contain views of all items of a specific entity type, matching a search criteria. Search Folders display the results of previously defined searches. The items are not stored in Search Folders. The items shown remain stored in their current Folders.
Create a Keyword based Search Folder 1. Right-click the root folder and select New Search. 2. Type a new name for the new search folder in the Search Name text box. 3. Type the keyword or keywords to search in the text box bellow and press Enter.
Create an Advanced Search Folder 1. Right-click the root folder and select New Search. 2. Type a new name for the new search folder in the <>text box. 3. Check the Advanced Search radio box. 4. Fill in the fields of the grid bellow and press Enter. For example, for a Contacts Search Folder, you can type in the Criteria field: Path["FirstName"] LIKE "a%". With this criteria, the search folder will display all contacts that have their First Name starting with the letter 'a'.
Rename a Search Folder 1. Right-click the Search Folder to be renamed and select <>. 2. Type a new name for the search folder in the Search Name text box and press Enter.
Edit a Search Folder 1. Right-click the Search Folder to be edited and select Edit Search. 2. Type the new parameters for the Search Folder and press Enter.
Delete a Search Folder 1. Right-click the Search Folder to be deleted and select Delete Search. 2. Click Yes in the confirmation box.
