Vorgspaces

A Vorgspace is a collaborative workspace or shared workspace in which all the participants can access and interact with objects as inside a single entity, allowing several concurrent users to create and manage information.

 

Vorgspaces are displayed in a diagram like user interface. Users can place objects in the workspace easily via toolbar commands or by the search control (double clicking in the workspace). Also can add images from hard drive and labels.

 

You can show relations with connectors and lay out a new organization chart or connect ideas, the possible uses are limitless.

 

Create a new object in the Vorgspace

1. Click on the New... button on the toolbar to create a new object.

2. Depending on the entity type selected the associated object editor is shown.

3. Click the Save and Close button to save the object.

 

Editing an object

1. Select the object.

2. Double click on the object or select Edit from the context menu.

3. Depending on the entity type selected the associated object editor is shown.

4. Click the Save and Close button to save the object.

 

Deleting an object

1. Select the object.

2. Click on the Delete button on the toolbar.

 Note that deleting an object will delete any related records linked to that object.

 

Removing an object from the Vorgspace

1. Select the object.

2. Click on the Remove button on the toolbar.

 

Save the Vorgspace

1. Select the Save button on the toolbar.

 If another user changes the Vorgspace content the Save operation will merge the current content of the Vorgspace with the last saved version in the Database.

 

Zoom

1. Select the Zoom Out, Zoom In, Zoom Reset buttons on the toolbar.

2. Clicking the Zoom Out button, will show a bigger area but less detail. When you click on the Zoom In button, it will show more detail. When you click on the Zoom Reset button it will show the default view.

 

Create Vorgspace desktop shortcut

Vorgspaces can be opened directly from your desktop by using this feature. By clicking this button a desktop shortcut will be created for the Vorgspace.

 

Insert an image

1. Click on the Add shape button on the toolbar and select the Add Image menu command.

2. Browse for the image file then click the Open button.

 

Insert a label

1. Click on the Add shape button on the toolbar and select the Add Text menu command.

2. A text shape is inserted in the Vorgspace.

3. Double click on the text shape to open the text editor.

 

Connecting shapes

1. Move the mouse over a shape and shape connection points will become visible.

2. Move the mouse over a specific connection point, click and drag to draw the connection.

3. Move the mouse over a target connection point, then release the mouse button.
